User's Guide:  Windows OS

Menu action can be duplicated by Keyboard shortcuts or keys such as Esc, Delete, Enter, Tab, Arrow Keys(Left,Right,Up,Down). Target item must be selected before any action.

 

Menu:    New  (new Portfolio) ...................................................Ctrl + N
              Open (file with Portfolio)..............................................Ctrl + O
              Save (Portfolio in file)..................................................Ctrl + S

              Add   (Underlying Assets, Option - expire date).......Ctrl + A 
                                                                                                     click item by mouse
              Add   (Edit Parameter value to re-compute price)...Ctrl + A

                                                                                                     press Enter key
                                                                                                     click item by mouse
              Delete...........................................................................Ctrl + D
                                                                                                     press Delete key 
              Copy (result to Clipboard)......................................... Ctrl + C 
              Exit............................................................................... Ctrl + X

 

              To run calculation just select target Option.

 

Option's parameters:  Days to Expire    - number of days left to option expire 
                                      Underlying Price - price used in calculation

                                      Number Strikes  

                                      Strike Shift           - define number of strikes to be calculated

                                                                      (Price  +/-  Strike Shift)

                                      Interest Rate %    - interest rate(percent)
                                      Dividend Yield % - dividend(percent)
                                      Volatility %           - implied volatility(percent)
                                      (percent 1% enter as 1,  5.23% as 5.23 ...100% as 100)

 

During Add(Edit) current Parameter's value is replaced by new one, except for "Days to Expire" where it is incremented or decremented(use negative sign) by new value and parent Option updated accordingly.

 

Practical tips:  To Select Portfolio's item
                          - click item by mouse 
                          - use Up(Down) Arrow Keys

                          - use Left Arrow Key to jump to Parameter's parent Option

                          - type first letter(digit) of item to jump to

 

                          To Expand(Collapse) Portfolio's item

                          - click item’s + sign by mouse 

                          - double click item

                          - press Enter key
                          - use Right(Left) Arrow Keys

 

                          To Select Portfolio or Output view
                          - click view by mouse  
                          - press Tab key

 

                          To Re-Size Portfolio or Output view
                          - press left mouse on “split-bar”, drug it,  release mouse

 

                          To Add Underlying Assets           - select Portfolio item

                          To Add Option(expire date)         - select parent Underlying Assets

                          To Add(Edit) Parameter's value  - select Parameter's value

                          Use any method from ADD menu to start.

                          Selected item is replaced by edit control(Calendar in case of Option).
                          To Cancel(Edit) - press Esc key   
                          To Accept(Edit) - press Enter key
                                                      - mouse click outside of edit control

 

                          To Add Option (day, month and year) in Calendar

                           - use Arrow Keys(Left,Right,Up,Down) to increment, decrement and 

                             move left(right) or just set focus

                           - use Numeric Keys to enter 

                           - mouse click spin control to increment, decrement

                          To Accept - press Enter key

                                             - click Add button                                                                      

                          Add as many Options as you need.

                          To close Calendar press Esc key or click Cancel button.
